Andrew is smart, talented and funny. He is also the most dedicated and determined person I know. When he decides to go after a goal, he keeps going until he accomplishes it. When Andrew was a child, he taught himself to play the piano, and he still plays today. Commitment is evident in everything he does, which is just one of the traits that will make him a great father. Andrew is also a talented artist and chef, but my favorite thing about him is his wit. He has a great sense of humor that always seems to pop up at the perfect time.
Andrew was raised with three younger siblings in a large, close-knit family in Arkansas. His family owns a lot of land so he and his brothers and sister would ride their bikes and play on acres of hills and forests. He spent holidays with his entire family, a tradition we each continue to this day.
Andrew loves children—so much so that he made it his career to keep them healthy. He is a doctor specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry. After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree he worked for several hospitals and now works for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He is also a partner in a group medical practice in Memphis.
He is empathetic and caring, and has a huge heart. He is a natural caretaker and nurturer. I’m so proud of his accomplishments and feel fortunate to have found my soulmate. I can hardly wait to grow our family and have our child experience what an incredible dad he will be.
